Planning permission for an 18-turbine wind farm development in Clashindarroch Forest near Huntly has been granted by Aberdeenshire Council.
The local authority’s Marr Area Committee backed developer Vattenfall’s plans.
The project had received the support of 280 local people.
Vattenfall’s David Hodkinson said: “We will work with the community and Forestry Commission Scotland to ensure this project is a success.”
