Wind turbines proposed off Hedges Pond Road; Cranberry grower hoping for wind power

PLYMOUTH – A cranberry grower is hoping to site two wind turbines on her property off 143 Hedges Pond Road.
Sustainable New Energy, a Plymouth alternative energy company, applied to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a special permit to construct two 328-feet wind turbines on the property.
Jeanine Anderson Realty Trust owns the property; Jeanine Anderson is a trustee.
Each turbine would generate two megawatts of power.
Plans for the turbines were submitted late last week and ZBA members have yet to review them and schedule a hearing date.
