Moycullen windfarm appealed to An Bord Pleanala

Environmental group ‘An Taisce’ has appealed a decision to grant permission for an electricity generating windfarm in Moycullen to An Bord Pleanala

Cruachan Wind Energy Limited were granted permission for 6 wind turbines and transformers, an electrical substation and a control building at Lealetter in Moycullen bogs.

A previous proposal by the same applicant on the same site was granted permission by the County Council in September 2005.

The decision was overturned by An Bord Pleanala following an appeal by An Taisce in June 2006.
