Delmarva Power announced Monday it had signed a long-term contract with AES Corp. of Arlington, Va., to buy up to 70 megawatts of land-based wind power.
The wind power would come from Tioga and Bradford counties, in north-central Pennsylvania, said Delmarva spokeswoman Bridget Shelton.
The 15-year contract comes after Delmarva announced a contract with Synergics Wind Energy last week for up to 100 megawatts.
