It was the right decision for the Vale

BLOT would like to say a big thank you to the many people who have supported us throughout our campaign.
The feeling of camaraderie at the council meeting on the 11th was overwhelming and we are very pleased the councillors voted against the proposal.
They obviously thought carefully about the project, considered all the information available and made the right decision for the Vale of Belvoir.
Industrial turbines in a low wind speed area have nothing to do with either saving the world, producing electricity or reducing CO2 emissions. It is all to do with the developer and landowner making enormous amounts of money for doing precious little and the government ticking a box.
The sense of injustice felt by locals, who did their homework, revealing the true facts, drove them to fight this proposal and will do so again.
We will not allow our precious countryside to be ruined for an ill thought out green economy scam.
We will not be sacrificed.

Chairman of BLOT
