A company headquartered in San Francisco has bought seven wind farms under construction including a wind farm in Manitowoc County, according to news reports.

Babcock & Brown bought Navitas Energy Inc.’s wind farm under development for Two Rivers, Mishicot and Two Creeks. Babcock & Brown also bought wind farms from Gamesa Energy USA LLC.

The company did not disclose what it paid for the projects.

The seven projects will generate 750 megawatts, or enough energy to power 190,000 homes per year.

Babcock operates 20 wind farms in nine states.

Babcock was founded in San Francisco and is based in Australia. It is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
