Renewables jobs myth

So much for the oft-repeated claim by wind turbine developers and their lobbyists that they are a major provider of jobs for local people.
Of the 38 workers recently rescued from a tilting rig at the Robin Rigg wind farm development being constructed in the Solway Firth, only one was British, with the rest being from foreign parts, including Denmark, the Netherlands and India.
Perhaps Jason Ormiston, CEO of Scottish Renewables, can provide some clarification of his oft-made claim.
