Scottish Borders councillors have deferred their decision on plans for a wind farm in the Lammermuir Hills.
Planning officials had recommended that the authority withdraw its previous objections to the scheme on the grounds of the impact on the local landscape.
The Fallago Rig proposal by North British Windpower has been reduced from 62 turbines to a total of 48.
The issue will now be discussed at a future meeting of the development and building control committee.
The final decision on the proposals will be made by the Scottish Executive.
