Scottish Borders Council is to withdraw its objections to a major wind farm in the Lammermuir Hills. The council originally opposed the plans for 62 wind turbines at Fallago Rigg on the grounds it would have a detrimental impact on the landscape. But a revised application has now been submitted for 48 turbines and planning officials now recommend the objection should be lifted. Councillors are discussing the plans now.
