Evaluation of Environmental Shadow Flicker — Analysis for "Dutch Hill Wind Power Project"
Large scale shadow flicker is a new phenomenon, not experienced by people on an “industrial scale”, with football field sized shadows moving across their home or through their local views. As a new source of environmental pollution extra care is needed when evaluating the long term consequences … Download original document: “Evaluation of Environmental Shadow Flicker – Analysis for ‘Dutch Hill Wind Power Project’” Complete article »

Electricity Output from the Maple Ridge Windplant July, August, September 2006
“Maple Ridge has a nameplate capacity factor of 240 MW, but from the graph we see that for 40% of the quarter [July, August, September 2006] (1883 hrs), the wind farm produced a paltry 0-30 MW, or 0-12.5% of nameplate capacity. At no time did the output sustain full 240 MW. Indeed, the output was only above half the rated output 15% of the time.” Download original document: “Electricity Output from the Maple Ridge Windplant July, August, September 2006” Complete article »

Evaluation of Environmental Noise Analysis for 'Dairy Hills Wind Farm'
Industrial wind turbine farms are proposed for the towns of Perry, Covington, and Warsaw, NY, that will permanently alter the towns. Large turbines create strong noise levels not only from wind through the blades but largely by the turbine mechanisms themselves. To capture the wind these turbines are to be installed on hill tops around the town and thus have significant potential to create a noise nuisance … Download original document: “Evaluation of Environmental Noise Analysis for ‘Dairy Hills Wind Farm’” Complete article »
