A community session for a discussion of wind farms in DeKalb County on Friday has been canceled.
Officials with the University of Missouri Extension said a lack of interest forced the decision, along with a change of direction in obtaining public feedback.
A team from University Extension has created a survey to gather opinions on wind farms from DeKalb County residents. The survey will be available in the next several days via the MU extension website, with a link provided to access the questions. Information also will be provided on how to obtain a printed copy of the survey as an option.
Answers to the survey will be kept confidential and help the team form a wind resource guide.
Two wind farm sessions set by Extension for Saturday in Rock Port, Missouri, remain scheduled.
