The 104-turbine wind farm at Dundonnell will receive the official thumbs-up on Tuesday morning.
Approval of the Dundonnell Wind Farm Project will be announced July 19, by Planning Minister Richard Wynne and Premier Daniel Andrews at the proposed site.
Mr Wynne said the $650-million Trustpower project would have economic benefits and contribute to tackling climate change.
Construction of the turbines will create more than 200 jobs and 10 permanent jobs during its operation, located 23 kilometers north-east of Mortlake. .
The wind farm will generate enough electricity to power 150,000 homes, providing an “ecologically sustainable outcome”.
