A wind project that had been planned in Richfield has now been shot down by New York State’s second highest court.
According to the ruling, the Town of Richfield Planning Board improperly granted the permit for the project.
The lead petitioner says that if the wind company wants to try again, the town board will have to hold another public hearing.
Monticello Hills, the project developer, is reviewing the ruling with its attorneys to decide what the next step is.
