An accident involving a huge wind turbine propeller snarls traffic for more than 2 hours near the Julien Dubuque Bridge.
A wind turbine propeller snarled traffic for more than two hours Wednesday morning at one of Dubuque’s busiest intersections.
The Dubuque Police Department said Ricky Stagner, 54, of Grand Prairie, Texas, was northbound on Locust Street at about 8:19 a.m., driving a semi-tractor trailer with the propeller of more than 100 feet in length protruding from the back. Stagner had chase vehicles stop traffic so he could safely turn west onto Dodge Street.
