Wabaunsee’s bold step
The Wabaunsee County Commission showed both nerve and judgment Monday in preventing the construction of wind farms in that county. The decision should end efforts on the parts of some companies to construct such farms, although those efforts will continue elsewhere. Wind power or horse power?
"WALES has some of the most breathtaking riding country in Britain, but it has sometimes been slow to capitalise on its tourism potential. This is starting to change, and in North Wales plans for horse holidays with grant backing are well underway."

Planners Urge Wind Awareness
“Again, we reiterate the need for the planning commission and board of supervisors to draft an amendment to comprehensive plan, and possibly even zoning ordinance amendments, stating the county’s position with regard to wind development in Highland. That may include no wind energy development at all (small or large), small wind only, or a combination of some small wind and a limited number of large wind facilities.
