It’s time to get some answers from the Ministry of Environment & Climate Change (MOECC) on the UNIFOR Wind Turbine in south Port Elgin.

A Notice of Motion is coming forward at tonight’s (January 29th, 2018) meeting asking Saugeen Shores Council to approve inviting representatives from the Ministry to a future council meeting for a question and answer session.

Councillor Mike Myatt says he wants to be able to present concerns of residents in the vicinity of the UNIFOR turbine, “who are affected by Night Time Urban Noise and Indirect Health Effects.”

Myatt says he wants to hear first-hand about the MOECC’s position in regards to regulation or lack of it, towards turbines.

He says this issue in the Gobles Grove area, has been going on for four or five years and it’s time to get some answers.

Myatt says he wants to talk about “Testing; testing results; releasing of testing results and health issues.”

Tonight’s council meeting in Saugeen Shores gets underway at 7:30pm.
