Blow for Midlothian wood

Midlothian Advertiser | 13 March 2013 | www.midlothianadvertiser.co.uk

The Advertiser has learned that Wind Prospect wants to fell 7.8 hectares at Cockmuir to provide better wind conditions for its project at Mount Lothian.

The developer believes that the Toxside Plantation, if allowed to remain, will create turbulence for the nine 102-metre turbines and make them less effective.
