Landowners speak out against wind project
Credit: Mitch Wertlieb, Produced by Melody Bodette | Vermont Public Radio | www.vpr.net 20 July 2012 ~~
A planned Rutland County wind development suffered a setback this week when two landowners whose cooperation is critical to the project spoke out against it.
Bill Greene was in negotiations with the developer, Reunion Power, for the right to use his land. His neighbor Derek Saari initially agreed on a land use deal with Reunion, but then changed his mind.
Rutland Herald reporter Lucia Suarez has been covering the story, and she speaks with VPR’s Mitch Wertlieb for this week’s Regional Report.
