Scrutinize wind farm developers

“Noise, open space are wind farm issues in Bourne” (Bourne Courier, Sept. 30) discusses seven turbines proposed off Scenic Highway in Bournedale.
I searched through previous articles about this project with the hope of learning more about those involved. I discovered that on June 2, The Bourne Courier published an article stating project representatives include Wind Project Developer, Clean Planet Energy of San Rafael, Calif.
Clean Planet Energy is neither on the Web, nor can it be found through dialing directory assistance in the San Rafael, CA area according to a directory assistance supervisor with whom I’ve just spoken. I think it’s prudent to question the legitimacy of the Bourne wind project developer Clean Planet Energy on this basis.
I hope that the town fathers of Bournedale recognize that lucrative public subsidies have attracted as many “wind developers” as Hollywood starlets have attracted “casting directors”. And, that it is in the interest of citizens and the environment that these wind developers are scrutinized.
