Swans 'cut to pieces' by wind turbine blades

icwales.icnetwork.co.uk

Horrified office workers watched a swan “cut to pieces” by the blades of a wind turbine.

The incident took place at Swansea’s Enterprise Zone earlier this week.

A worker at an office overlooking the turbine said, “It was cut to pieces and there was blood and feathers everywhere.”

The turbine is owned by toiletries company Montagne Jeunesse.

A company spokeswoman said, “We were saddened to hear of the incident. The turbine normally makes enough noise to keep birds away.”
