Wind turbine fire at Butterwick Wind Farm, near Sedgefield

A wind turbine has caught fire at Butterwick Wind Farm, near Sedgefield. Witnesses said smoke and flames could be seen on the turbine’s blades. The incident is believed to have happened around 6pm on Thursday evening. A giant wind turbine has been destroyed in a fire. Fire crews were called to the blaze at the wind farm, at High Swainston Farm, close to the A689 running between Wynyard and Sedgefield, before 6pm on Thursday. Wynyard A689 wind farm is shut down as investigation into turbine blaze begins

A wind farm has temporarily shut down while an investigation into a turbine blaze begins. Flames could be seen around 10 miles away from the site at Swainston Lane, near High Swainston Farm, close to the A689 at Wynyard, on Thursday evening. Wind turbine blamed for Rhodes Ranch 3 Fire in Mulberry Canyon south of Merkel

A motor on a wind turbine caught fire and is blamed for sparking a wildfire Monday in Mulberry Canyon in southwest Taylor County that has burned about 250 acres. Losing the tower

A mast/tower section from a large wind turbine came off its heavy transport trailer as it was being taken to a site in Northern Spain earlier this week, and rolled down the side of the mountain. Granville Harbour Wind Farm pours first turbine slab

The Granville Wind Farm is now set in stone, with the first concrete pour completed on Friday. More than 100 truck loads of concrete were poured into the 20-metre diametre base.
