Vattenfall halts British Norfolk Boreas project, warns UK offshore wind targets in doubt without more subsidies
Swedish utility Vattenfall said on Thursday it would stop development of its British Norfolk Boreas offshore wind project due to rising costs, and warned that Britain could struggle to meet its wind targets without improved incentives. Reindeer herders fear Arctic industry boom

Mark- och miljödomstolen i Östersund säger nej till en ny vindkraftspark till havs utanför Gävles kust, enligt ett pressmeddelande. Rungande nej till vindkraftparker till havs i Söderhamns folkomröstningar

Voters reject huge Swedish offshore wind projects by Iberdrola and Skyborn
Skyborn Renewables – the newly-rebranded offshore wind business Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) acquired from German developer Wpd – suffered a setback as voters in the Swedish municipality of Söderhamn seem to have shot down its plans for the 1GW Storgrundet offshore wind project in the Bay of Bothnia. ‘Lucky family wasn’t hurt’: New blade break hits flagship GE wind turbine
GE is investigating a second blade failure within a year at a wind farm in Sweden using some of its latest onshore turbines after an incident witnessed by a family with children nearby. A blade on one of the GE 5.3MW-158 Cypress machines at the Bjorkvattnet project became partially detached on Thursday evening, confirmed renewables operator OX2 which manages the site. Turbine down; Collapse and oil spill shuts one of Europe’s largest and newest wind farms
An investigation is underway after a turbine collapse that closed one of Europe’s largest and newest onshore wind farms just weeks after it was inaugurated.
