3.5 mn euros seized from Mafia-linked ‘windfarm king’

Italian police on Friday seized 3.5 million euros in assets including bank accounts in Sicily and Lombardy belonging to a Sicilian wind-farm mogul linked to the fugitive head of Cosa Nostra. Police said the money had been laundered. Tar blocca parco eolico Camerino (Court blocks Camerino wind project)

ANCONA, 31 LUG – Il Tar delle Marche ha accolto il ricorso di Italia Nostra e bloccato la costruzione di un parco eolico con 17 torri di 105 metri, e una potenza complessiva di 34 MW, che la Comunita’ Montana di Camerino voleva costruire in un’area vincolata.
