Murphy’s wind turbine project could be stopped by little ol’ Ocean City
Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican or independent, you have to know Phil Murphy is as slick and slippery as they come. Rather than go through the Legislature for approval of his climate cult schemes, he does it through the regulatory process. This way you have no say in the matter. It just gets rammed through by way of the BPU or the DEP. They’re made up of unelected bureaucrats appointed by the governor. Back in March Murphy chose not to . . . Complete story »
‘Never seen anything remotely like this’ in half a century: NJ fishing pros warn offshore wind killing ocean life
New Jersey’s veteran fishing community fears surveying to install offshore wind turbines near the state’s shore is already causing tremendous environmental damage, one local boat captain told Breitbart News, asserting that, in his experience, “dead whales on our beach absolutely and logically have everything to do with the oceanic geo-surveys.” New Jersey is in the process of approving two major offshore wind projects: the Ocean Wind I and II initiatives owned by the Danish “green” energy company Ørsted. Offshore wind foes sue New Jersey and Danish turbine developer over tax break

Two non-profit organizations opposing New Jersey’s plan to build offshore wind turbines have filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the state providing nearly $1 billion in tax credits as illegal special legislation. “The Legislature’s giveaway of federal tax credits to Orsted benefits a single company in violation of the New Jersey Constitution,” said Bruce Afran, the attorney for the two groups, Protect Our Coast NJ and Defend Brigantine Beach. “In New Jersey, laws that favor a single private party . . . Cost of being first in offshore wind is growing for New Jersey
The bills for early adoption of offshore wind are starting to come in, and they are substantial. Some people love to be early adopters, among the first to buy and use a new piece of technology. Getting the advantages of a new phone, diet drug or electric car before others may bring fun and status – almost inevitably at a higher cost than when the market is bigger and more developed. New Jersey wasn’t the first East Coast state to commit . . . Complete story »

Diane Wieland, the county’s tourism director, told The Epoch Times that in 2022 the . . . Complete story »

The approval represents the third commercial-scale project of its kind in federal waters to win the US government’s backing – all under President Joe Biden – and another step toward his goal of installing 30 gigawatts of offshore wind power by the end of the decade.
