One Suzlon turbine destroyed and two badly damaged

The turbines caught ablaze at 5.15am, just under an hour after a blackout hit the Rivas municipality, where the wind farm is located. All three machines reportedly spun uncontrollably. Turbine 28 finally fell and all three blades of turbine 25 were flung off. A blade on turbine 29 was left broken. Complete story »

Colapsa torre de campo eólico en Rivas

Una torre eólica de 125 metros de altura y 400 toneladas de peso, se desplomó la madrugada de ayer viernes en el Parque Eólico Amayo II, y otra torre resultó con sus hélices destruidas. El incidente paralizó el funcionamiento de este parque eólico localizado entre los kilómetros 128 y 130 de la Carretera Panamericana Sur, y activó un fuerte despliegue policial y de efectivos del Cuarto Comando Militar del Ejército, quienes se presentaron al lugar para realizar las respectivas investigaciones . . . Se desploma un aerogenerador de Amayo en Rivas

Este viernes se desplomó uno de los aerogeneradores del parque eólico Amayo, que está ubicado en el departamento de Rivas. Otro aerogenerador también resultó con daños en una de las aspas. La Policía Nacional y el Ejército se trasladaron hasta la zona para investigar la situación. Los bomberos también se movilizaron para apagar un incendio que se generó en el molino caído.
