Brand in windmolen op de grens bij Losser

Woensdagavond brak er brand uit in een windmolen vlak over de grens bij Losser in Bad Bentheim.
De brand brak omstreeks kwart over acht uit in de windmolen aan de Nordhorner Weg. Hulpdiensten konden op de hoogte van ongeveer 100 meter weinig uitrichten. De vlammen waren tot in Nederland te zien. Uiteindelijk heeft de brandweer van Nordhorn het vuur gecontroleerd uit laten branden.
De Duitse politie laat weten dat de brand geen gevaar voor personen, objecten of verkeer heeft opgeleverd. Wel is er materiële schade van een miljoen euro.
Het is nog niet duidelijk hoe de brand in de windturbine is ontstaan.
