The Defence Forces have warned Kildare County Council over plans to develop wind farms in the county, telling the authority they could impede training activities of the country’s air corps.
In a recent submission to the council, the Department of Defence said it had “concerns” that the erection of wind farms or other tall buildings could affect its ability to “train and operate in a safe and economic manner”.
