Time to put wind issue to rest

PUBLIC FORUM: Time to put wind issue to rest | Daily News | May 07, 2022 | www.thedailynews.cc

I just finished the story on the “study” put together by the Upjohn Institute. You could say it could be construed as an advertisement for Apex Clean Energy instead of study.

Anyone find it interesting that the author of this study has no dogs in the fight even though he was paid to write this study with funding by Apex? Sounds similar to lease holders being on township boards and not recusing themselves from decisions on turbine zoning issues even though they are directly involved in the issue and stand to personally gain financial benefits from their leases.

I really feel this whole issue of turbines has been very poorly handled by Apex and their employees. With company funded “studies,” hidden leases and poorly run meetings. Are their health concerns from turbines? We don’t really know. Issues relating to wild life and birds? Again it depends on which “study” you choose to believe.

I for one have to tell you that I moved up to Montcalm County to enjoy a quieter calmer life style. Turbines don’t meet that description and it is time to put that issue to rest.
