HEGINS TWP., Pa. – A wind farm won’t be coming to Schuylkill County after all.
Hegin Township’s zoning board rejected a proposed wind farm project Tuesday night.
The application was submitted by Delaware-based Anthracite Ridge LLC.
Back in 2019, Clean Air Generation LLC proposed building up to 40 wind turbines in the township. That plan was opposed by both residents and representatives of Fort Indiantown Gap.
