Un rayo calcina un aerogenerador en Montaves

Un aerogenerador del parque eólico ubicado en el término municipal de Montaves, en Tierras Altas, ha ardido en la tarde noche de ayer tras ser alcanzado por un rayo.

La tormenta que ha barrido la provincia, con aparato eléctrico, en la tarde del viernes ha causado este accidente.

El aerogenerador forma parte del parque eólico enclavado en el monte Cayo y está gestionado por Cetesa.

En el parque, que se puso en marcha en 2003, hay 33 turbinas eólicas, con una potencia de 800 kw, y un diámetro de 52 metros.

Montaves, que pertenece administrativamente a Villar del Río, es el segundo término municipal más alto de la provincia, con 1.375 metros, después de Beratón.

El incendio del aerogenerador ha sido contemplado a distancia, por la humareda generada.
