Proposed wind farm’s potential payments to county discussed

Differing viewpoints were voiced on NextEra Energy’s potential payments-in-lieu-of-taxes to the county at Monday’s meeting of the Marshall County Board of Commissioners.

NextEra, a wind energy company from Juno Beach, Fla., is proposing to build the Irish Creek Wind farm in the Frankfort area.
