The Christian County Zoning Board of Appeals will have a hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday to discuss issues surrounding potential wind farms being proposed by two companies.
The board will deal with proposed zoning amendments that come from the companies, county Zoning Administrator Vince Harris, the Christian County Board, and a group called Protect Christian County.
The proposed wind farms from two companies City of Roses Wind Energy LLC and Rolling Farms Wind Project, LLC have been at issue for about a year, Harris said. Issues being considered include how far turbines should be from homes, how tall they can be, and cost for permits.
The public hearing will be conducted online and via telephone. The meeting can be accessed online through https//join.freeconferencecall.com/christiancounty. It can be joined by telephone by calling 701-802-5367, with access code 7943957#.
The wind turbines would be in the area of the county near Pana and Assumption, Harris said.
