Meteorological tower for wind farm off OC delayed

Construction of a meteorological tower for US Wind’s offshore project has been delayed.
WBOC reports that the tower is part of the wind farm that will be locate 17 miles off the coast of Ocean City.
The installation was to take place in the summer was delayed by Hurricane Dorian and a contract failure among other issues.
The company promised that the wind farm was still on track but that delays of this type are to be expected in projects like this.
The wind farm has been met with concerns about the impact on the resort – especially when it comes to tourism.
