Decision deferred for a second time on unauthorised Ballyduff wind farm

An Bord Pleanala have once again deferred their decision on the Barranafaddock wind farm between Ballyduff and Araglin.
The wind farm was deemed to be in breach of the planning conditions when it was discovered that the diameter of the blades on the turbines exceeds the blade size allowed in accordance with the planning permission granted.
The breach became public knowledge a number of months ago and Barranafaddock Sustainable Electricity Ltd then applied to An Bord Pleanala for leave to apply for substitute consent for the operation of the installed 12 turbine wind farm at Barranafaddock.
