Bluestem Energy Solution’s application for a conditional use permit for a single wind turbine to be built in Cuming County was unanimously denied at Tuesday morning’s Cuming County Board of Supervisors Meeting. County Board Member Steve Sil says the application was denied in order to protect the ag industry and resources.
Bluestem Energy, who had no comment on the decision, can appeal it if they so choose.
Attorney Thomas Donner says the decision could be overruled if and when Bluestem decides to appeal it.
The board went into executive session to discuss potential litigation with their county attorney as it relates to findings of fact and how that might impact future potential litigation.
The decision Tuesday morning was made after a decision was tabled at May 29th’s meeting.
