Wind energy more about taxes than electricity

I read your two articles on wind energy last week, one pro wind and one anti wind. After studying wind energy for eight years, I am on the anti-wind side and agreed with the sentiments in that letter.
In reading the pro-wind letter, I started to see the word “tax” quite often and counted the word “tax” or an acronym with “tax” in it 33 times in the article and the word “electric” or “electricity” only once. This shows what wind energy is really about. Wind turbines are nothing more than tax subsidy meters. The taxpayer pays to put them up, the utility companies are mandated to buy the electricity, and the rate payer in Minnesota who use to pay 20 percent less than the national average for electricity is now paying 20 percent more and the carbon emissions haven’t changed. The rate payer must pay for two sources of electricity because when the wind doesn’t blow, a reliable source has to be readily available.
Wind energy doesn’t work. It was here in the ’30s and they got rid of it for something more reliable. Now it’s coming back because multinational corporations can make billions in taxpayer subsidies.
