The idea of wind farms in Gibson County has been met with controversy by some land owners over the last few months.
Tuesday, the county’s board of commissioners will meet to talk about a proposal from E.ON Climate & Renewables, one of the world’s largest owners of renewable power projects.
According to Board President Steve Bottoms, no officials have been informed of the status of any projects yet, despite E.ON approaching multiple landowners.
Tuesday afternoon’s meeting at 1:00 will be a public session.
Four Indiana counties north of the tri-state currently have wind farms.
