BELLEVUE – The Erie County Commissioners are hosting a public hearing Tuesday on the proposed wind farm.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Bellevue Elementary School at 1150 Castalia St. Its being hosted in conjunction with the Groton and Oxford townships trustees.

The meeting will discuss the Emerson Creek Wind Project, which could see the Apex Wind Energy constructing 65 to 85 wind turbines in Erie and Huron counties.

“Citizens are encouraged to attend the public meeting,” commissioner clerk Carolyn Hauenstein said. “This an opportunity for residents to learn more about the project and provide comments to the commissioners and trustees.”

People who plan to attend should enter through the rear of the building.

The Huron County commissioners recently reversed their decision to support the project.
