Well water issues not being forgotten

Lambton Kent Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton is defending his government in the face of accusations of feet dragging regarding a water wells health hazard investigation.

Local residents affected by contaminated wells have grown impatient with the “promise made, promise kept” mantra from the Ford Government on other issues, since a health hazard investigation was a key plank in the local Conservative campaign.

McNaughton says the government has been doing their due diligence.

“We did begin reviewing the data by the Chief Medical officer of Health through the Ministry of Health,” McNaughton says. “In the next number of weeks we’ll have more to say on a health hazard investigation but I want to be clear to the people that we will honour that commitment.”

McNaughton adds it’s clear the turbines should never have been built.
