Lyrenacarriga Windfarm proposals – ‘community will not back down’

The senior executive planner for Waterford City and County Council Hugh O’Brien, has said that from his understanding from speaking to An Bord Pleanala at the end of 2018, they haven’t had any official application into them yet from the developer of the proposed windfarm at Lyrenacarriga near Tallow in Co Waterford.
Cllr James Tobin asked the local authority at the Dungarvan/Lismore district meeting on Monday if the councillors could be notified when the developer applies to An Bord Pleanala.
Cllr Tobin, Cllr Pratt and Cllr Doocey brought a second motion forward at the Plenary Meeting on Thursday 10th January, requesting that the area surrounding Knockanore and Tallow be amended.
