TIFFIN – Two hearings related to Republic Wind LLC’s proposal to erect a 200-megawatt wind farm in rural Seneca and Sandusky counties have been postponed until further notice by the Ohio Power Siting Board.
In a statement, the board said it will reschedule hearings previously planned for Oct. 2 at the VFW Post in Green Springs, Ohio, and Oct. 15 at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio’s hearing room in Columbus.
Republic Wind asked the power-siting board to postpone the hearings because the company wants to amend its proposal. The plan calls for up to 58 commercial-scale wind turbines in several townships.
