A wind farm has been given the green light in far north Queensland as the state continues to push towards its renewable energy target.
Construction of the $300 million privately funded project will start later this year at Kaban, south west of Cairns.
State Development Minister Cameron Dick said the project is one of two dozen large-scale developments in the state which will help reach the 50 per cent renewable energy generation target by 2030.
