The town has hired engineering consulting firm Weston & Sampson to examine alternatives for future utilization, repurposing and reutilization options for Falmouth’s wind turbines.
Selectmen in February gave Town Manager Julian M. Suso the go-ahead to spend up to $20,000 for the study.
Mr. Suso expects Weston & Sampson will complete its study by early May. This gives the town time to comply with building commissioner Rodman L. Palmer’s order to present a plan for the dismantling and removal of Wind 1 by May 31.
