Wreckhouse Energy seeks to build wind turbine in Grand Falls–Windsor

VOCM | April 3, 2018 | vocm.com

Efforts are underway to construct a wind turbine at the water treatment plant in Grand Falls–Windsor to supplement energy costs for the town.

Wreckhouse Energy, a company founded by two young St. John’s engineers, is behind the proposal.

The town can either purchase or rent the windmill with possible help from outside agencies.

Last week the town indicated that the application to construct the windmill had been completed and that ACOA indicated it supported that type of project.

Wreckhouse Energy was founded by Jesse McCaw and Justin Wicks of St. John’s, offering wind power solutions to rural communities, and take advantage of new net-metering legislation.
