Inaction cause for concern

The Falmouth Enterprise | www.capenews.net

We have been reading in our local Enterprise for the past year or more of our Falmouth selectmen repeatedly stating how they wish to regain the trust and input of the citizens of our town. They have announced that they wish to put the Falmouth wind turbine fiasco behind them and to move on.

What I see in reality is simply more of the same old, same old. Wind turbine #1 is still standing, well past the one year of inoperativeness over which a town bylaw requires removal, and at their regular Monday selectmen meetings not a word or question from the public is allowed having anything to do with the wind turbines. What’s up?

There is a rumor and reason to believe that the town has a sinister plan to move Wind II to another location at the WWTP despite the seven-year ordeal through which both machines were declared nuisances and shut down by our ZBA and the Massachusetts court system.

As a too-close neighbor of these turbines I am very nervous about the prospect of one of them being given a slightly different location and a new round of litigation to pursue.
