The love of money is the root of all evil

Emmetsburg News | June 15, 2017 | www.emmetsburgnews.com

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and other non participating landowners for not being overcome by greed, like some land owners have, to accept the offers made by the wind turbine companies. God has given us the privledge of owning and farming some of the best land in the country. As stewards of the land, should we be letting some of it be destroyed by wind turbine construction. Seems strange why those who don’t care about our good land and can only think about the money, and will exercise their freedom by having over 700 tons of concrete and steel, for each turbine, put into their land and can never be taken out. And also all the crushed rock or gravel for the drives are probably going to be there forever. They do not seem to care about the neighbors or tenants, who have to live and work around turbines. Seems the non participants can’t have that freedom, to keep out the “cluttered and ugly view” the turbines provide. The folks that think they have to have turbines on their land are mainly those living elsewhere, absentee land owners, and don’t have to see them everyday. And so again I thank you non participants for your decision of not “cluttering and destroying ” the view and sound, as the farmers have to work around them. I guess sometimes Freedom is the right to infringe on others rights. This is a perfect example of greed. “The LOVE of money is the root of all evil’
