Wind turbine destroyed by fire

A wind turbine near Harris was destroyed by fire early Monday.
Around 4:40am Monday morning the Ocheyedan Fire Department was paged out to the wind turbine on fire at the intersection of 120th Street and White Avenue near Harris.
It was reported by the Osceola County Sheriff’s office that there were no injuries from the blaze. KICD News was told by the Sheriff that the decision was made to let the turbine burn itself out.
