NextEra probes blade damage

NextEra Energy Canada is investigating a damaged blade on a turbine at its 73.5MW Bornish wind farm in Ontario.

A spokesman for the company said no one was injured by the damage, which occurred on 20 April.

All other turbines are “operating normally”, he added.

The project in Middlesex County features GE 1.6MW 100 hardware and has been operational since 2014.
