Stop the Dairy Air wind project

Caledonian Record | November 28, 2016 | www.caledonianrecord.com

Last week the votes were finally counted in the poll taken regarding the Dairy Air industrial wind project in Holland.

The final tally was 314 opposed and 59 in favor, an overwhelming rejection of this horrible plan to turn our small, rural agricultural town into an industrial landscape.

The townspeople have spoken.

Due to this 5 to 1 margin of opposition. I would urge the developers and the Champney family to do what is right for the town and withdraw this proposal that has torn our town apart, as have all previous attempts by Blittersdorf to destroy the NEK for greed and power. If the proposal is not withdrawn the developers will be showing overwhelming disregard for their neighbors and contempt for the town in which they live.

The powers that be in Chittenden County and Montpelier have decided that the NEK is their dumping ground, and the people that live here are collateral damage. So let the hundreds of trucks hauling trash from Burlington continue to roll to the Coventry landfill.

Let the Blittersdorfians continue to rape our ridgelines so they can present themselves to their buddies as the great saviors of Vermont.

Let the “public” service board appointees continue to rubber stamp any and all proposals to turn the NEK into an industrial wasteland.

And let the underhanded political machinations of social engineers in Montpelier continue to destroy what is left of the real Vermont in the name of greed and centralization of power.
