The Maine Land Use Planning Commission has voted to remove a dozen more townships from the Expedited Permitting Area for wind power projects in Maine Unorganized Areas.
Removal means that prior to any future windpower development proposals, the land area proposed for development would need to be rezoned.
The areas being removed are: Albany Township, Carrying Place Township, Codyville Plantation, Forest City Township, Forest Township, Lambert Lake Township, Marion Township, Orneville Township, T7 SD BPP, Cary Plantation, Cove Point Township, and Drew Plantation.
